What did you see as the aim(s) of the lesson?
The aim of the lesson was to teach the class how to create a cityscape film opening including titles, transitions and music.
2. What did you plan to do?
We planned to first explain the aim of the lesson to the class and then show them an example of what they were about to create. Then we planned to show them a demo of how to make and use titles and transitions in Premier. Then we plan to pair them up and give them some time to complete the task, followed by a discussion about how things went at the end.
What went well?
Everyone in the lesson was able to complete the task. One group was able to attempt the extension of making their own music in garageband.
4. What didn't go so well and how would you do it differently?
There was a few technical difficulties with the video we created to show the demo and the screen size on Premier. Next time we could do a live showing of the demo so that we could avoid some problems and also cater to the classes learning speeds. Also we could check all the computers before the lesson to make sure everything is formatted correctly.
5. What do you think people learned from the session?
I believe that everyone was able to complete the aim and either learn new skills or practice the skills that they already had.
